Copeland announces product line rebrand

Copeland announces product line rebrand

2025-07-11

Copeland has unveiled a rebranding of its diverse product lines across the refrigeration and industrial sectors to align with its transition into a standalone company last year.

The company stated that it is consolidating a broader range of products under the Copeland brand to strengthen its reputation as a leading supplier of control and monitoring systems, alongside components and technologies for commercial and industrial refrigeration.

Copeland was established as an independent entity in June of the previous year following Blackstone’s acquisition of Emerson’s Climate Technologies operations. The announcement underscored the group’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive suite of HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) services and products, integrating both existing Emerson-developed offerings and new systems.

This acquisition included the Copeland compressor brand, from which the newly formed company derived its name.

A primary goal of the rebrand is to unify products currently marketed under separate names under the Copeland umbrella. The company noted that this move will further solidify its identity as a provider of sustainable building engineering products and services.

Copeland added that the Copeland-branded portfolio will expand to include monitoring and logistics systems, flow control technologies, in addition to compressors, variable speed drives, and refrigeration condensing units.

Paul Mottershead, Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications at Copeland, emphasized that the rebrand marks a critical step in the company’s evolution.

He stated: “With a more integrated and cohesive brand portfolio, we aim to simplify how customers and end-users engage with our extensive product range.”

“This strategic shift not only addresses our customers’ evolving needs but also unifies next-generation climate solutions to tackle the HVACR industry’s most pressing challenges.”

Products transitioning to the Copeland brand will include system facility controls, as well as valves and components previously sold under the Emerson name.

Alco flow control products will also adopt the Copeland branding, alongside leak detection and cargo monitoring systems, and the ProAct services and software brand for supply chain management.

The company announced that updated packaging and labeling will be rolled out over the next six to 12 months, with the goal of fully implementing the rebrand across the market by mid-2025.

Certain products, including the Sensi smart thermostat and Verdant energy management system brands, will retain their current names but feature updated designs.

Additional Copeland brands, such as Vitler, White-Rodgers, and Cooper-Atkins, will also continue under their existing names, the company added.
